Matthew was Vice President of the Fenway Civic Association. He served on Boston’s Urban Renewal Task Force, Northeastern University’s Community Advisory Board, the Friends of Ramler Park Board, and Institutional Master Plan Task Forces for Northeastern University, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Emanuel College, and Simmons University. Matthew collaborated with Millennium Partners, the Boston Arts Commission, and the National Trust for Scotland Foundation USA for the return, restoration, and rededication of Boston’s Robert Burns monument for its centennial in 2019. He participated in recent restorations of Boston’s Boyle O’Reilly monument and the Johnson Memorial Gates.
