DORCHESTER BAY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Cottage Brook Apartments

BOSTON, MA

Cottage-Brook-Apartments-1.jpg

BWA Architecture  performed a Comprehensive Needs Assessment for the Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation (DBEDC) for its existing 147-unit apartment portfolio scattered throughout the North Dorchester and Roxbury neighborhoods of Boston. The structures built in the 1930’s are primarily brick facade and were in need of interior and MEP updates.

Our team worked in collaboration with the DBEDC’s property manager, asset manager, resident services staff and residents at Cottage Brook Apartments on the modernization of Cottage Brook, based on the results of the CNA. We replaced existing interior finishes and fixtures, reconfigured space to provide seven accessible units, added fire sprinkler systems and updated heating, plumbing and electrical systems.
