Mattapan-Station-Building-1.jpg

BWA Architecture was responsible for architectural design, preparation of plans, specifications and construction administration services for the new Mattapan Bus and Trolley Station building. This urban intermodal station is the terminus for a branch of the MBTA’s Red Line service adjoining Mattapan Square in Boston.

It is also a hub for several city bus routes and features a police sub-station, public restrooms, automated fare collection, dispatcher desk, communication rooms and community space. Passenger loading is clear, safe, and attractive. BWA played a critical role in the design of the station and public presentation to agencies and community groups.
